Fire Danger Index:

The FDI is updated daily on our Facebook Page and the Whatsapp status of our emergency number.  Apply for a fire permit.

  • 0 to 20 - Safe
  • 21 to 45 - Moderate
  • 46 to 60 - Dangerous, 55 and above no open fires, even with a fire permit.
  • 61 to 75 - Very Dangerous
  • 76 to 100 - Extremely Dangerous

Our gallery relates our actions.  We hope it will raise awareness to the risks of negligence towards fire.

WILDFIRE Training

We are excited to announce our upcoming Wildfire Training.  Please register HERE!
Theory will be presented on 31 October 2020 and followed with practical training on 7 November 2020.  Attendance for both days are compulsory.
Registration costs R500.00 per person and active SBBV volunteers receive a R300.00 discount.  Registration closes 18 September 2020.

Dankie

Dankie aan alle mense daar buite wat die nodige doen om die tragedie so klein moontlik te hou.

Ons wil egter so paar "hoede" byvoeg; die Ma's wat tuis die fort hou, die vrede bewaar en die res van die huishouding inspireer, die kinders wat meer gehoorsaam moet wees, die Pa's wat minder "in your face" moet wees, eintlik maar aan almal wat besef dat opofferings gemaak moet word in hierdie vreemde waters.

Baie sterkte aan julle almal!
